The Presence of Trees

The Presence of Trees

I have always felt the living presence of trees
the forest that calls to me as deeply as I breathe,
as though the woods were marrow of my bone as though
I myself were tree, a breathing, reaching arc of the larger canopy
beside a brook bubbling to foam like the one
deep in these woods, that calls
that whispers home

Beautiful country! I love the roots on the trees by the river - the exposed roots always look so interesting to me with the way they are twisted.

Chris - I received the package! Thanks so much. I loved the earrings, and the snowflake was a great bonus. I'll make a post about this next week on my blog. Thanks again. Have a great weekend!

I thought I was a follower to your blog already but I am just now seeing so many posts that I missed before. WHAAAAAAAA. I signed up tonight (again?)???
The sampler is beautiful. The couple is on a needlepoint piece done for an aunt and uncle when they married by friends from Holland. Their daughter, my cousin has it now.

What a wonderful summer print you bought too. I do like it a lot as well.

Your quilt/supplies in Deluth will go over well I am sure. Wonderful that you got to go to that show!
